February DT Projects for Twiddleybitz

Hi there.

Today I wanted to share with you my projects for Feb for Twiddleybitz.  This month we had to use Crackle Paint on our projects.

For my first project I did a canvas, I have added Crackle Paint to all three of my Twiddleybitz pieces.

For my background I used a Twiddleybitz Fantasy Frame Overlay OV009.  I put this onto the canvas first and then sprayed the canvas with purple and pink Fireworks Sprays.  Once dry I then applied crackle paint to the Fantasy Frame.  I have painted the Twiddleybitz Swirl Flourish and Ornate Flourish FLOR019 with hot pink paint and again added crackle paint to both.  The flowers are Prima and Manor House.  The Cherish Rhinestone word is Kaiser and lastly the pink rhinestone flourishes are Prima.

For my second project I created a card, and used Crackle Paint on the For You only.

I have used white cardstock for the base.  The patterned paper and Collectables is Kaisers "Lavender Haze" Range, the flower Prima.  The "For You" WOR096 Twiddleybitz has been painted with Silver Paint and then painted with Crackle Paint.  The Twiddleybitz Wrought Iron Fancy WI001 and Circle Doily Frame FRA019 have both been left raw. Lastly the blue rhinestones are Kaiser.

And finally for my last project I have gone with an OTP Project, and used our gorgeous little Wishing Well, which has been painted all over with Crackle Paint.

I first painted the Twiddleybitz Wishing Well WWELL001 with a pale pink paint, once dry I added a coat of Viva Stone Art gold sand texture paint. I then added crackle paint to this. The Twiddleybitz Oriental Butterfly in Leaves BUT002 have been painted with gold paint.  The flowers are Green Tara and Manor House.  Lastly the bling is from my stash.

That's it for me today.  Thanks for stopping by,

Bloom Girl Canvas

Hi there,

Recently I signed up for Jamie Severtson Dougherty's Bloom Girl Workshop, which has been brilliant and taught me so many new techniques and how to draw faces, although I have a long way to go I am extremely pleased with how they are turning out so far.  I highly recommend it, you can see the details below,

So I started with a 12 x 12 canvas which I primed with Gesso.  I then applied different colours of Acrylic Paint with an old credit card.  I used the Kaiser flower template and silver paint around the edges of the canvas.  I then used a Dylusions mask and randomly painted it with black gesso over the canvas.  I have used silver leaf around the edges.  I traced my Bloom Girl and Painted her with dark brown Pan Pastels.  Her hair is painted with black gesso.  I have used a Prima Mask Randomly over the canvas is both white and black gesso.  I have drawn on flowers with a white gel pen.  Lastly I have finished the canvas off by adding Prima and Green Tara flowers to the corners of the canvas and one in her hair.

The above picture is a couple of Bloom Girls I have sketched after watching the tutorials.

February Card Makers Club - Paper Flourish

Hi there,

So it's that time on month again which means another Card Makers Club!!  This month we were given a Coral piece of Bazzill and Three Coral/Cream Rose Buds. I have given this card a lot of detail as it is for a special friends 40th Birthday....

For the card base I used the challenge piece of Coral Bazzill.  Two of the rosebuds I left whole and just flattened them out slightly, and the third one I pulled the petals apart and randomly stuck them in and around my flower clusters.  The other flowers are Prima and Green Tara.  The patterned paper is Magnolia.  I have used the Martha Stewart Deep Edge Butterfly punch around a couple of the edges. The single Butterfly Punch is also Martha Stewart.  I have used Muslin on the bottom and top layer of the card.  The pearl strips are Kaiser.  The trinkets are from my stash.  I have paper pieced the Prima Doll stamp with the same Magnolia paper used on the layers and coloured her hair in with Copics.  Lastly the Sentiment Stamp is SU and I have used the Scallop Circle Punch around it.

January Scrapbookers Club - Paper Flourish

Hi there,

Just wanted to share with you my LO I made for Scrapbookers Club this month at Paper Flourish.  As you have probably already guessed the theme was Christmas, we were given the piece of Kaiser Die Cut Paper and a Poinsettia which we had to use on the LO.

I have used a piece of Bazzill for the base.  The Die Cut Paper is Kaiser as mentioned above.  I decided to go a bit Mixed Media with this one.  Firstly I used a snowflake stencil and applied Modelling Paste to it, then I sprayed some red fireworks sprays, dabbed on gold paint and lastly, randomly stamped a large snowflake over the page with Archival Ink.  The flowers and leaves are Green Tara.  The Twiddleybitz Memories Word Single WOR037A, Doves Six Pieces XMAS011 and Holly Branch Small XMAS036 have all been painted with gold paint.  Lastly I have used small snowflake embellishments randomly around the flower clusters.
